WORCESTER, Mass. — When folks think of the Worcester Railers, they probably think of the skating, passing, scoring, saves and hits on-ice. But in order to do all that every weekend during a long season, where they often play three games in three nights on the weekends, it takes a lot of off-ice work in the weight room.

"Yeah it's huge, it's all about being a pro and taking care of your bodies, it's not just the on-ice stuff," said captain Anthony Repaci. "Obviously we're going out there and trying to put on a show, but the off-ice stuff is so important just making sure we're healthy, we're fit and strong and ready to go for each and every weekend, each and every game we have."

"It's definitely important staying in the weight room," said forward Jack Randl. "Staying in shape throughout the season, it can be kind of tough to get the work in with all the games we play, but it's important to keep the body in shape to maintain that throughout the year."

The Railers are home Friday at the DCU Center against the South Carolina Sting Rays at 7:05 p.m. The Railers are 5-5 on the season.
