Meals on Wheels Tampa services more than 1,000 homebound residents everyday, and relies solely on donations from the public to provide healthy, hot and fresh meals year-round.

During the holidays, Meals on Wheels Senior Director of Operations Kristin Maximo says it likes to take the extra step of providing a holiday gift bag for people that may otherwise not get any gifts.

“Many of the seniors and homebound that we serve do not necessarily have friends or family that are near and it is very hard for them to travel and see loved ones for the holidays,” said Maximo.  “So the holiday gift boxes help us do the holiday gift bags and spread a little joy this holiday season to those we serve.”

If you can’t find a donation box, you can drop gifts off to the main Meals on Wheels Tampa office located at N. Boulevard and Hillsborough Avenue, or visit here for the Amazon Gift Registry.
