- Coverage plans also available through Oscar Health
So far, according to ACA officials, more than 820,000 Floridians have signed up for 2025 coverage, but an estimated 3.3 million still risk missing out.
Health insurance officials say the process doesn’t have to be overwhelming, as there are plans available to meet a variety of health care needs.
ACA plans offer primary care and essential coverage, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and hospitalizations.
Plans designed for chronic conditions like diabetes can help lower costs for specific services.
For Florida’s growing Hispanic and Latino community, programs under Oscar Health can also provide tailored coverage options.
“The thing I'd reference is there are many brokers within the Orlando area that can help support consumers and advise them on the best plan for them if they'd like that kind of consultative support,” said Will Johnson, VP of ICHRA Growth at Oscar Health. “We've had a great relationship with Florida brokers since our entry into the market and, you know, very much would recommend those to anyone that wants kind of additional advice or guidance on which plan would be best for them.”
Health insurance protects you and your family from high medical costs, giving you access to essential health care services.
Without insurance, it can be difficult to afford routine medical visits, emergency care, or prescription medications.
