"I've been able to help so many kids who sit on my couch," Mickler said. "But what about the kids who don't sit on my couch or don't know that my couch exists? I wanted to touch as many lives as I can. That has always been my purpose in life."

Mickler started the toy drive four years ago. The first year, she spent her own money to buy more than a hundred toys. This year, after the two hurricanes, Mickler wanted to help even more. She is excited about all the support.

"It's going really great," Mickler said. "Every year, it grows. I'm surprise every time people want to help."

Mickler will be collecting toys and financial donations until Sunday, Dec. 22.
