PLANT CITY, Fla. — He might be a wild mustang on his first farm, but Radar knows how to communicate.
He kicks the fence.
And within moments, Nate Turner answers the call.
Radar is a resident of Cow Creek Farm in Plant City, along with Churro the Italian burrow.
It’s also home to Scottish Highlander cows — one of the oldest registered breeds of cattle in the world.
Turner is part of the Cow Creek Farm in Plant City.
He says agrotourism businesses like Cow Creek are the link between farmers and the community.
Turner says the cows are hardy and adaptable to Florida’s climate.
If you think these mop tops cows are cuties, the calves will put you in goofy sweetness overload.
The guest reaction is pretty universal.
“Oh they love them. It’s borderline obsessive. I mean, how could you not? Look at them. They are adorable. They are intelligent animals, they have amazing personalities,” said Turner.
And they enjoy a little cuddle.
All of this is — is to help people scratch that itch.
Maintaining a connection to the land and the animals on it.
