Dr. Vincent Tedone and his daughters launched “Winning The Fight” after one of his daughters, Deanna, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Tedone developed an alternative approach to treating ALS he called the “Deanna Protocol.

It’s a mixture of three substances: Arginine and Alpha-ketoglutarate (combined to form AAKG) and Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). These are substances the body already produces, but ALS patients need more of, he said.

He told Spectrum Bay News 9 that research shows the protocol can slow the deterioration of an ALS patient.

“Winning The Fight” is hosting its annual ‘Shoot For The Cure’ on Feb. 22. It’s a clay shooting event at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays.

The event starts at 3 p.m. You can buy tickets here.
