MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County Utilities has issued a boil water notice for the Silver Springs Shores Community due to a utility line break.

Homes and businesses located on 2,3,4,5 Sapphire Court are impacted by the notice.

The county urges all residents affected to boil water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, etc.

The notice remains in effect until the water is tested and is safe to drink again.

Before consuming, bring water to a rapid boil for one minute. Residents may also use bottled water.

Water used for laundry, and bathing does not need to be boiled.

Marion County Utilities will provide an update when the boil water notice is lifted.
