TAMPA, Fla. — Each year, the City of Tampa Black History Committee honors unsung heroes during Black History Month.
The theme for their 37th annual ceremony was ‘Tampa Bay Trailblazers: Leading Change’.
Monday, the committee celebrated the contributions of trailblazers throughout the Tampa Bay area, who distinguished themselves by overcoming personal and professional challenges to excel in their industries.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Angela Hill, a professor and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
The 2025 COTBHC honorees include:

- Darrius J. Stallworth
- Latonia Boykins
- Vickie Oldham
- Kehsi Iman
- Antonio Brown
For the first time this year, the annual event was hosted at the historic Tampa Theatre.
