This three-day event is Wisconsin’s largest anime convention, which celebrates Japanese animation, culture and fandoms. It features notable voice actors, cosplayers, musicians and DJs. There are also a variety of programs, such as Idol Fest, Maid Cafe, Swap Meet and more. Ticket prices vary.

Shamrock Shuffle
Saturday, March 8 from noon to 6 p.m.
Water Street | Third Street | Brady Street | Walker’s Point

The 16th Annual Shamrock Shuffle will take place across four different areas of Milwaukee. Registration includes a T-shirt, lanyard for food and drink specials, no cover fees at bars and more. There will also be live music and DJs. The event is only for those 21 and older.

Madison

International Festival 2025
Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Enjoy close to 30 free performances throughout the Overture Center by Dane County artists. There will also be cuisines from around the world, arts and crafts for purchase and more.

Fairy Tale Brunch
Saturday, March 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Blackhawk Country Club, 3606 Blackhawk Drive, Madison

With costumes, face painting, a gourmet brunch and live ballet performances, treat your little one to an afternoon of fun. There will also be a raffle. Tickets are $40 for adults, $25 for children ages 3 to 17 and $10 for those 2 and youger.

9th Annual MidWest WeirdFest

Micon Downtown Budget Cinema, 315 South Barstow Street, Eau Claire

This independent filmmaker festival celebrates all things fantastic, frightening, paranormal and “just plain weird.” It features everything from experimental films to paranormal documentaries. A few of the titles being shown are “Anywhere,” “Cocaine Stepdad,” “Dooba Dooba” and “Dweller.” You can enjoy all four days of the festival or get tickets for a single film or a specific day.
