CLEVELAND — In a joint post on Instagram, the Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson announced his engagement to Jilly Anais.

Their post featured the simple caption: "Mrs. Watson Loading..."

Watson has had a rocky football career since he was acquired by the Browns from the Houston Texans in 2022, when he was signed to a fully guaranteed $230 million contract. Since then, he has only played 19 games for Cleveland.

He missed the first 11 games in 2022 because of a league suspension, made just six starts in 2023 before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury and started seven last year before an Achilles tendon injury.
