COLUMBUS, Ohio — Central Ohio residents looking to exchange their gas-powered mower for an electric one may be in luck.


What You Need To Know

  • Central Ohio residents will be able to swap out their gas mowers for electric ones at events in April

  • There's an event for Columbus and Franklin County residents and one for Westerville residents

  • The event is open to a limited number of people

Central Ohio residents will have the opportunity to take their mowers to one of two events, depending on where they live, to swap out their gas mower for a Kobalt electric one for $199 plus tax.

The first event is for Columbus and Franklin County residents, open to the first 120 people to register. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 5 at Lowe’s Home Improvement, at 2345 Silver Drive in Columbus.

The other event is for Westerville residents, open to the first 40 to register. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 5, also at the Lowe’s at 2345 Silver Drive in Columbus.
