AUSTIN, Texas — Police are still searching for a suspect after multiple people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning on Austin’s Sixth Street.
The incident happened at 1 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Brazos Street, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Police Department.
Police said they responded to a “high-priority call” where medics located one of the victims and performed life-saving measures before finding a second victim further away who also received life-saving treatment.
Police found one of the gunshot victims who had gotten into a pedicab, near Eighth Street and Brazos Street. Police applied pressure to the injuries before medics arrived, according to officials.
More gunshot victims were found by police at the Sixth Street club while securing the scene.
Two victims received life-saving treatment and were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two other victims declined medical assistance at the scene, according to ATCEMS.
At this time, APD said there is no suspect in custody.
