Endometriosis is a condition impacting more than 11% of American women aged 15 to 44, according to the FDA. Some don’t learn they have the condition until they struggle to get pregnant, while others face daily pain.
One study published in 2022 suggests the U.S. spent $16 million on research for endometriosis that year, which boils down to about $2 per patient. The same year, another inflammatory disease, chron’s, received the equivalent of $130 per patient in research funding.
