ORLANDO, Fla. — A Vegas-style illusions show is here in Orlando, but in an intimate, yet ritzy setting.
- Drew Thomas is an "America’s Got Talent" finalist. The “master illusionist” has performed more than 10,000 live shows in 67 countries.
- He has a 2025 residency at Grand Lakes Orlando. The theater seats 100 people. “That’s what makes this truly unique, and you don’t have to go to Vegas to do it,” Thomas said. “We’re doing these major illusions and you’re literally an arms-length away.”
- Thomas has been doing magic since he was a kid. The art of illusion is something that he says is always evolving. “It’s not always the secret to what I do that’s the secret. It’s how you do it,” he said.
- He likes to give audiences unique access, like to an illusion — a box — that his stepfather built 30 years ago. “It sits here, open,” he said, displaying it. “At the end of show, guests walk up and look at this and look at each other and are going ‘What?!’”
- “The Magic Show” presented by Drew Thomas Magic runs twice on Friday and Saturday nights at Orlando Grand Lakes for the rest of 2025. General admission is about $50.
