Annika Pergament is an Emmy Award-winning news anchor in New York City.
She hosts "The Rush Hour," weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where she covers the news of the day, interviews city leaders and newsmakers, and dives into the issues that New Yorkers are passionate about with the viewer-favorite segment, “New York Is Talking.”
Prior to "The Rush Hour," Annika co-anchored "Mornings On 1," NY1’s weekday morning show, where she also held the title of Senior Business Anchor, regularly interviewing entrepreneurs, business owners and CEOs.
A veteran journalist, Annika has covered the biggest stories impacting the city including the terror attacks of Sept. 11, the financial crisis of 2007-2008, and the coronavirus pandemic. In 2024, Annika was awarded the highest honor bestowed by New York Press Club — The Gold Keyboard Award — for her investigative series probing the Administration for Children's Services which uncovered numerous shortcomings in the city agency tasked with protecting the most vulnerable children.
In her time at NY1, Annika has held a series of different titles, including political reporter — she originated the Albany statehouse beat — Manhattan reporter, and business anchor, where she became the first local television reporter to have a position on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
She also spent two years as a beat reporter at WCBS, and seven years as a guest anchor on Court TV hosting live trial coverage.
Annika has also appeared as herself in dozens of movies and television series including "The Sopranos," "Law & Order SVU," "Mr. Robot," "Gossip Girl," "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit," and "Non-Stop."
Annika went to Duke University, where she got her bachelor’s in history, and Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where she got her master’s in journalism.
