One of Disney's hidden gems is frosty and humid at the same time. It's also Christmas in summer for the entire year. Plus, you can practice your short game.
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is an experience offering two specially themed 18-hole courses.
Joshua Stewart is the attractions coordinator, and for nine years, he has been bringing joy to guests who can't escape the holiday spirit. “Every day here is Christmas,” he said. The Canadian native attended multiple Disney summer internships to land this role, which he says he totally digs.
The story behind Disney's Winter Summerland goes like this: Santa created it as an off-season vacation destination for his elves. Airstream RVs are sprinkled throughout the courses — a summer adventure among sandcastles, and a winter adventure to the North “Hole” with icy obstacles and giant peppermints.
For Joshua, his unique “office space” satisfies the way he's wired. “Making people happy for a living, I (find) most rewarding.”
Disney's Winter Summerland is located near Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs. It was one of Walt Disney World Resort's very first attractions to open after the pandemic, around Christmas 2020. The cost is $14 per Adult and $12 per Child (Ages 3–9).
