PASADENA, Calif. — A man suspected of calling in a criminal threat against Huntington Hospital after being a patient there earlier Friday was taken into custody.

The threat prompted the hospital to go on a lockdown, according to Pasadena spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

The suspect was arrested in Los Angeles and was expected to be brought to Pasadena, where he will be booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, Derderian said.

It was unclear what motivated the suspect to phone in a threat to the hospital after his departure.
