The Gaither Football program has seen a lot of really good quarterbacks come thru their system over the years.

Sophomore Jayce Nixon in his first year as a starter for the Cowboys is proving he could be something special.

"He’s as accurate of a quarterback as I’ve seen, especially for his age, and just his want to win and be good is off the charts" says Cowboys Offensive Coordinator Jason Silbert.

Airing it out has not been a problem for the lefty, thru nine games Jayce has thrown for more than 24 hundred yards and 28 touchdowns to lead the Bay Area and ranking among the top qb’s in the state.

Exceptional on the field and in the classroom. Jayce carries a 4.0 gpa and is just as challenged to be perfect with his grades as he is with the ball he throws out on the field.

Congratulations Jayce on being named our Athlete Of The Week.
