Earlier this year, Angel City FC used the first pick of the NWSL Draft to select Harvard Westlake senior Alyssa Thompson, making her the first player ever to be selected straight out of high school.

It was a history making moment for a player that many have described as a generational talent, but will surely not be the last. The young phenom has already made a name for herself on the national circuit as a call-up for the U.S. Women’s National team, and is now proving herself in the states through her first professional season.
