LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Dodgers have resigned manager Dave Roberts, one of their cornerstone pieces that has helped lead the team to two World Series championships in the past five years.

The LA Times reported Roberts will earn an $8.1-million annual salary after agreeing to a four-year contract worth $32.4 million.

Roberts’ new annual salary is double the $4 million he was set to make this season. His current contract, which he had signed in 2022, was set to expire after this year.

The Times reported that Roberts’ annual salary will make him the highest paid manager in Major League Baseball.

The Dodgers have not officially announced the deal.

Roberts became the Dodgers manager in 2015.

Entering his 10th season, the 52-year-old Roberts, nicknamed “Doc,” has guided the Dodgers to one of their most successful runs in franchise history.

Under his nine-year tenure, the Dodgers have captured the NL West title eight times, won 56 playoff games and made the World Series four times, winning twice — once in the COVID-pandemic shortened 2020 season and this past 2024-2025 season.
