Happy Friday everyone!
We've got another great day on the say today with a nice mix of sunshine and clouds. As we go through the day, strong southerly winds will develop, leading to a wind advisory from late this afternoon through Saturday evening. Expect wind gusts to 50 mph. Highs today will once again flirt with records as we can expect temperatures in the upper 70s to mid 80s in Western Kentucky.
A strengthening storm system moving toward the ares will push rain and a line of thunderstorms into Kentucky after sunset. Western Kentucky has the best chance of seeing the strongest of the storms with all modes of severe weather possible, including destructive tornadoes. The storms should gradually weaken as they press east through the overnight hours. Lows tonight will remain very mild in the mid 60s.
