WAUKESHA, Wis. – Vice President Mike Pence picked up where the campaign left off in Wisconsin after the coronavirus pandemic hit the White House.
Pence visited Weldall Manufacturing in Waukesha Tuesday afternoon.

The vice president delivered the typical stump speech—largely sidestepping the coronavirus outbreak at both the White House and in Wisconsin.
“Here in the Badger State we also saw average hourly earnings grew nearly as much in our first three years as they did during all eight years when Joe Biden was vice president,” Pence said.
The vice president touted economic recovery along with Wisconsin's role in rebuilding the military.
“We are on track to have a 350 ship Navy and 20 of those ships are being built right here,” Pence said.

Pence even gave a nod to the state's former governor for creating jobs.
“Can I just say none of that would've been possible without the strong and principled leadership and partnership the president and I enjoyed with former Governor Scott Walker,” Pence asked the crowd.
Talk of the coronavirus pandemic was sparse though.
“We are on track to have the first safe and effective coronavirus vaccine before the end of this year,” Pence said.

Vice President Pence briefly thanked supporters for their well wishes for the first family.
“The president and First Lady Melania are doing just great, and he is back on the road today,” Pence said.
President Trump will make his first campaign stop in Wisconsin since contracting coronavirus.
He is scheduled to be in Janesville on Saturday for a fundraising event.
