TAMPA, Fla. – Adventure Island, the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay water park, has revealed the opening date for its newest attraction, Solar Vortex.

The dual tailspin water slide will debut March 14, the park announced Tuesday.
Solar Vortex will be the only water slide in America with two dual-tailspin features. The slide will also features what's called "aqualucent" sections that create LED color effects. The panels will allow the sun to shine through to create colorful patterns that riders will see as they slide.
The slide will also have high-banking rotations and rapid descents, with riders reaching speeds of up to 20 mph.
Adventure Island is offering its Pass Members a chance to enjoy an exclusive preview of the attraction on March 13.
