DADE CITY, Fla. — Snowcat Ridge has delayed its reopening ahead of the tropical storm.

The Dade City snow park was originally scheduled to open for its third season on Nov. 11. But with Tropical Storm Nicole projected to impact Florida, the park will now open Nov. 16.

“We are making this decision for the safety of our guests and to ensure that our guests have the best possible experience at our park,” read a post on the Snowcat Ridge Facebook page.

People who purchased tickets for the opening weekend, Nov. 11-13, will be refunded, according to the park.

Snowcat Ridge, which first debuted in 2020, features several winter-themed attractions, including a 400-foot-long snow tubing hill and a 10,000-square-foot indoor play area with “real snow.”
