The law, formally known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will set into motion the flow of billions of dollars to states and localities to improve bridges and roads, install electric vehicle charging stations, expand railways, replace lead pipes, expand broadband and other public works projects.

4. Tampa Bay Times: Small plane crashes into Tampa Bay near Peter O. Knight Airport
A police boat and a private seaplane rescued a pilot and a passenger after a small plane crashed into Tampa Bay on Monday morning near Peter O. Knight Airport, Tampa police say. The plane went down about 500 yards southwest of an airport runway around 10:11 a.m., police said. Both occupants of the plane escaped injury.
5. International travelers return to Tampa after the U.S. ended its COVID travel ban
One week after the U.S. ended its COVID-19 travel ban involving 33 countries, Tampa International Airport is welcoming back its first international flight.
6. Carnival Cruise line sets sail from Tampa once again, welcomes 2900 guests
The cruise line welcomed 2900 guests onto their ship which will sail to Honduras.

8. Tampa Bay Business Journal: Construction begins on downtown St. Pete's new three-story food hall
Construction of a food hall is underway in the old Woolworth building on Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg. Hi Hospitality Group begins work Monday at the three-story building at 551 Central Ave. The 24,000-square-foot building is called Central Park St. Pete Food Hall and will have unique elements on each level for customers.
9. Traffic Inbox: Proposed 4-way stop draws scrutiny in Pasco County
A proposed four-way stop sign is raising eyebrows at the Leisure Hills community in Pasco County.
10. Biden hosts first tribal summit since 2016, signs public safety order
President Joe Biden signed an executive order to help improve public safety and justice for Native Americans during the first tribal nations summit since 2016, calling the public works bill he would sign later Monday the "single largest investment of tribal infrastructure ever."
11. White House calls Harris a 'vital partner' after report about alleged rift
The White House came to the defense of Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday night, calling her a "vital partner" after CNN reported that there is tension between Harris’ office and the West Wing.
