1. St. Pete leaders OK bonds for baseball stadium, Gas Plant development
The bonds are for about $287.5 million toward a $1.3 billion stadium that would replace Tropicana Field, and another $142 million for roads and sewers in the historic Gas Plant District.

5. Earthquake strikes off California; tsunami warning issued
The quake struck at 10:44 a.m. west of Ferndale, a small city in coastal Humboldt County near the Oregon border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
6. Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy bring Trump's DOGE to Capitol Hill
As billionaire Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy began meeting with Congressional Republicans on Thursday for a brainstorming session on how to cut federal government spending, House Speaker Mike Johnson said government “does too many things and it does almost nothing well.”
7. Arrest made in April murder of 14-year-old boy
On April 17, officers responded to reports of gunfire near the 1400 block of W. Busch Boulevard. They found Jevario Buie near the railroad tracks. He died at the scene.

- TAMPA LANE CLOSURE | The outside southbound lane on South Armenia Avenue will be closed between West Kennedy Boulevard and West Cleveland Street while the Tampa Water Department completes a more permanent restoration following earlier work to repair a water main break. Barricades and signs will be located in the area to assist with traffic flow. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. View more road closures on the city of Tampa's website.
- BOLTS HOST SHARKS | The Tampa Bay Lightning play host to the San Jose Sharks tonight at Amalie Arena. The Bolts enter play with a 12-9-2. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
- STUFF THE TRUCK EVENT | St. Petersburg Fire Rescue (SPFR) and St. Petersburg Association of Firefighters, IAFF Local 747, are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual Stuff the Truck event this Saturday, Dec. 7. Community members are invited to join local firefighters and help "Stuff the Truck" by donating new, unwrapped toys to bring holiday joy to children and families in need. The event will be held at the Walmart Supercenter 3501 34th Street South in St. Petersburg from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
