Chautauqua County is getting some help fighting the opioid epidemic from one of the country's top colleges.

Columbia University's School of Social Work is partnering with the county as both work to fight drug addiction.

The school received an $86 million grant, with $2 million of that going to Chautauqua County.

The first phase of the project is expected to begin in the next few months, as researchers and county leaders look into treatment models.

Chautauqua County is one of 15 New York counties partnering with the prestigious school.
