A special ceremony was held for Batavia High School 2020 graduates on Wednesday.

The principal says faculty, staff, and community members went door to door to visit about 75 students. They were also giving out any awards students earned, since a ceremony at the school couldn't happen because of the pandemic.

"I've really been proud of our students," Principal Paul Kesler said. "They've been resilient. and, frankly, this has helped them grow up, you know, and helped all of us kind of grow up and appreciate the things that we have. And I think it's gonna make them a really strong group going forward."

A socially distanced graduation on the high school's football field is set for June 27 at 2 p.m.
