LOS ANGELES — As major wildfires rage unchecked and destroy hundreds of structures across SoCal, driven by the worst Santa Ana winds to hit the region in more than a decade, organizations and residents are stepping up to the plate to help those affected.
Here is how you can help if you can:
- City officials Saturday announced drop-off locations where people can donate items for those affected by the devastating wildfires that continue to ravage the region
- Donations can be taken to Councilwoman Traci Park Council District 11 Office at 7166 W. Manchester Ave. in Westchester from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Items requested: Individually wrapped items, non-perishable goods, personal hygiene products, canned goods, baby food, dog food, water and Gatorade.
- Donations can be taken to North Valley Caring Services Food Pantry at 15453 Rayen St. in North Hills. Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and noon to 2 p.m. Friday. Items requested: Non perishable foods, blankets, bottled water, diaper and wipes, microwaves, fresh produce (only drop off on Thursdays).
- It's Bigger Than Us at 4308 Crenshaw Blvd. in Los Angeles is asking for monetary donations to provide PPE for volunteers and fund transportation to deliver donations. Donations can be made at https://itsbiggerthanus-bloom.kindful.com/.
- Common Space Brewery: A nationwide effort has been launched to brew beers called We Love LA. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to nonprofits supporting Angelenos affected by the fires.
- LA Rams LAFD shirts will be available for sale at the team's official store with all profits from the sales going to support the LAFD Foundation and American Red Cross, according to the team.
- Game-worn jerseys and select game-used footballs will be auctioned off on NFL Auction with proceeds going to the support American Red Cross, the team said.
- LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park will host a donation drive in Legends Plaza on Monday and Tuesday to support the Los Angeles community with wildfire relief efforts. Galaxy fans and community members can drop off new and unused items in Legends Plaza from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Free parking is available in Lot 15 for drop-off.
- LA Food Bank: Accepting financial and food donations
- Pasadena Humane: Needs monetary donations for animals who are in need of emergency medical care. Their Amazon Wishlist includes needed items.
- Jamie Masada, owner of the Laugh Factory Hollywood, announced that all proceeds from Friday evening's shows at 7 and 10 p.m. will be donated to the LA Fire Foundation, in support of firefighters battling the various LA-area wildfires.
- Screen Actors Guild: To support impacted members of the SAG community, donations can be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, which operates a natural disaster relief fund
- The YMCA is currently seeking volunteers and donations.

- The Red Cross-Wildfire Relief: Financial donations to help people affected by disasters
- The Salvation Army: Donate goods, including basic items that are always a necessity for disaster survivors. Wildfire survivors most often need masks, bandanas, work gloves and other protective clothing, bottled water and other packaged drinks, boxes, barrels and heavy-duty plastic bags, and cleaning items such as rags, mops, brooms and scrub brushes, among other things
- Direct Relief-Helping People Affected by California Wildfires: Direct Relief provides N-95 masks, medicine and other resources to health care agencies and first responders in wildfire-affected communities
- Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: Make a donation to help firefighters and paramedics fighting wildfires across Los Angeles
- +COOP: Oscar-nominated actor Sharon Stone was collecting donations for victims at the LA clothing store.
