Mayor Eric Adams met with a top White House aide Tom Perez Thursday, as city and state officials continue their calls for more federal funding to help with the migrant crisis.
The meeting came after Adams warned about mounting costs saying that the city could be on the hook for as much as $12 billion by June 2025.
Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security has sent a team to assess the situation here on the ground and help identify ways that the city and the state and federal government can work together to develop a more coordinated effort.
First Deputy Mayor of the City of New York Sheena Wright joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on "Inside City Hall" to discuss the need for migrant funding.
