PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- The mayor of Port Richey, Dale Massad, and his girlfriend face battery charges, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

Massad, 67, was charged with domestic battery. Annette Joseph, 57, was charged with battery on a person older than 65. That is according to arrest reports.
Deputies responded Thursday evening to the 8200 block of Hayward Lane in Port Richey.
Arrest reports say Massad was in a verbal argument with Joseph when he "grabbed the victim with both hands and shoved" her. Joseph had a scratch on the back of her neck and another underneath her left arm, deputies said.
Joseph "punched the victim on the middle of the victim's back" and later admitted to the allegation, the arrest report says.
Both were taken to Land O' Lakes Jail without incident.
