HERNANDO BEACH, Fla. — A Hernando Beach home was destroyed in a fire Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to 3250 Minnow Creek in Hernando Beach just after 5 p.m. 

Neighbors reported a fire near a vehicle located beneath home's the carport. The flames spread to the vehicle, carport and house. 

HCFR's Engine 6 located in Hernando Beach arrived within three minutes and immediately began fighting the fire with about 15 firefighters. No one was in the home and there were no injuries. However, the vehicle and home were both destroyed. 

The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
