Visitors can enjoy the holiday festivities while ice skating outdoors along the riverfront.
The rink stays ice cold thanks to a unique process where a large cooler sprays ice and then keeps it frozen.
Visitors look forward to the large and unique activity all year long.
"The Riverwalk is an amazing amenity," said Shaun Drinkard, with Tampa's Downtown Partnership. "And everyone that's passing by on the Riverwalk has watched this thing come together and people get so excited because it's not the norm.
"It's not what you typically see in this park or in Florida."
In addition to the ice skating, visitors can partake in retail stores that will be set up in the park. Skate rentals will be $14. Also, there are sand sculptures, a Christmas tree light show and holiday movies on the lawn.
The village opens Friday at 5 p.m. and will be open daily through January 5.
