ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Expect the warm pattern to continue.

  • Monday to see morning fog
  • Partly sunny Monday afternoon
  • Warm conditions to continue into new year

Skies will vary between mostly cloudy at times and partly cloudy at other times.

There will be some areas of thick fog that will develop again by morning.  Lows will not drop much, stopping in the upper 60s.

Monday will bring a lot of morning fog, followed by a partly sunny afternoon. Highs will top out again around 80 degrees.

It will be cooler by the beach and bay, and warmer farther inland again. Sea fog in the gulf may move onshore by evening.

The subtle change is that it will be slightly less humid by Monday afternoon, which should limit the cloud cover. The fog may be more limited for Monday night.  It will still be warm with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

New Year's Eve will be mild here. There will be no rain around and temperatures will be in the upper 60s to near 70 even at midnight.

New Year’s Day will be warm and dry. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Clouds will start to increase Wednesday with a chance of showers possible Wednesday afternoon, Thursday into early Friday.

A cold front will be slowly sagging south into our area.  The front looks like it will move through some time late Thursday into Friday. The rain will end on Friday.

The temperatures will drop below normal on Friday night.

Saturday and Sunday will be cool and mostly sunny.
