ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Tuesday into Wednesday morning, along with a look at conditions through the end of the work week.

There will again be areas of thick for Wednesday morning. However, it will not be as widespread as the past few mornings and it will not last as long, either. It will quickly burn off after sunrise.

Morning lows will be a little cooler, mainly in the 50s, but staying in the low 60s near the coast.

After the morning fog burns off, Wednesday will be a mostly sunny day with warm afternoon highs in in the upper 70s.

Keep in mind though that sea fog will likely hang around over the gulf waters. So if you’re out on the gulf in the boat or by the beach, you might notice some areas of thick sea fog that hang around.

The sea fog will be pushed away from coast during the first half of the day and then be pushed back toward the coast later in the day due to an onshore breeze.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the 50s to low 60s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and warm with highs around 80 degrees. It will practically feel like a heat wave compared to all the chilly weather we had last week. With that in mind, be ready to break out the shorts and flip flops.

Friday will still be warm also with highs near 80 and mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

A front will get near us this weekend, but all the current data is indicating the front will slow down and stall.

Therefore, don’t expect any surge of cold air. It will probably be a few degrees lower at that point, though.
