NORTH PORT, Fla. — A 17-year-old North Port High School student was killed early Saturday morning after an SUV packed with teenagers rolled over.

According to North Port Police, 13 teenagers were riding inside and on the roof of a 2010 Toyota SUV when the crash happened. Three other teens were injured and rushed to local hospitals. The driver of the SUV was driving on Joewood Circle in the Yorkshire area when she failed to navigate a turn, police confirmed.
Stephanie Evrard, 19, was arrested and charged with one count of DUI Manslaughter and 3 counts of DUI with personal injury.
Police are not releasing the victim's name. Her friends tell us that she was a junior at North Port High School and involved with the school's drama program.
"She was the stage manager and that was her biggest passion, theater," said Ashlee Vana, a friend. "She wanted to be an actor when she was older."
