HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide at the Charleston Landings Apartment where a 25-year-old woman was found dead.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister held a press conference Tuesday afternoon releasing info on the case.
Authorities were first notified of a possible homicide around noon following a domestic violence incident involving the victim and her 26-year-old boyfriend.
Chronister said the boyfriend was found later at a convenience store in downtown Tampa, however, the sheriff was not sure which convenience store the suspect was located at.
Chronister said the suspect and victim share a 3-month-old son. The victim leaves behind three other children.
The sheriff said the man has a history of domestic violence against the victim. He said the exent of the relationship between the two is unknown at this time.
"You do not have to live another second in some type of dysfunctional household where you have to feel like you're a victim of any type of violence," Chronister said. "Family violence can be prevented. Seek the help that you need."
Chronister said details of what occurred are still being worked out as deputies obtain a search warrant to get inside the apartment.
The sheriff also said the suspect is cooperating.
The investigation remains ongoing.
