ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — As high school graduations are wrapping up across the Bay area, school districts are reporting some stunning grade point averages.

One Hillsborough County graduate, Newsome High School's valedictorian Katherine Metheny, finished with a 10.58 GPA.

That is, of course, a weighted score by the district, but such a high score prompts an obvious question:
