If you plan to fish for greater Amberjack or Spiny Lobster in Gulf state or federal waters from a private recreational vessel, you must sign up as a Gulf Reef Fish Angler prior to your fishing trip.

The FWC believes that safety is important and urges people to use caution when diving and boating.

Residents should also use care around corals and other marine life as well. Always use a divers-down warning device.

If bully netting this season, keep lights directed toward the water and avoid shining them at houses or people along the shoreline. Also, keep sound levels low when near shoreline residences.
