ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Dorian is a major hurricane again.
- Movement to the north at 7 mph
- Storm located 105 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina
Dorian has gotten a little better organized and is now a category 3 again. Pressure had dropped during the evening on its approach toward the South Carolina Coast.
As it finishes its trek around the western edge of the Atlantic high pressure area, it should begin a curve northeastward very close to the South Carolina coast on Thursday.
Because of the shape of the coastline, South and North Carolina are very susceptible to storm surge with a storm coming from this direction.
Hurricane force winds will also be felt along the coast through early Friday.
Eventually, Dorian will head out to sea.
