The Sheriff's Office says 10 students were arrested.
On Thursday morning, an Instagram account called "Lennard HS Fights" posted three videos. The account was later deleted. The videos appeared to show students at Lennard High School fighting while others watched.
It's unclear when the videos were recorded.
Spectrum Bay News 9 spoke with a concerned parent who says she’s outraged about the fights.
"I find it very disappointing, very upsetting. Our youth, we come here for an education,” said Beatrice Rodriguez.
Rodriguez’s son attends the high school. She believes parents need to have conversations with their children about not fighting and not recording others doing it.
"What if it were you, what if it were your sister or your brother? That's what these kids need to think about and they're not,” said Rodriguez.
A spokesperson with the school district said the fights were isolated and stemmed from issues outside of school.
Hillsborough County Public Schools released this statement:
"There are more than 3,300 students at Lennard and the vast majority of the students make good choices and come to school every day to learn.
The fights involved 10 students who chose to make a bad decision. We are dealing with discipline for each of them. This should not reflect on Lennard High School overall and the great work that is happening there every day.
We do not tolerate fights on campus. Student safety is our top priority and we will always work to ensure a safe learning environment."
