CLEARWATER, Fla. — A community baby shower will be held in Clearwater, to help mothers-to-be in need.
The woman behind the organization that runs it knows just how much the helping hand means to those struggling to make ends meet. Andrea Clark was once a single working mother of four young children.
"It's hard. You know, especially for the ones that are working," said Andrea Clark, founder of Mothers of Minors, the charity she started five years ago.
"After you've paid your bills and paid everything, you don't even have enough for the necessities. Like putting food in the house and diapers on the baby."
Mothers of Minors aims to help women in similar situations. The charity's signature event is the 5th Annual Showers of Love, set for October 26 at the North Greenwood Aquatic Center in Clearwater.
Clark is still in need of donations, as well as several big ticket items like strollers and car seats. For information on how you can help, visit https://www.momincfl.org/.
