ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg Police released surveillance video Tuesday night that shows who they believe is the suspect in Monday’s deadly shooting of a roofing employee.

Jason Carr, 24, was shot and killed as he was going to work early Monday morning. Police say employees at Duncan Roofs reported hearing gun shots around 6:30 a.m. then finding Carr wounded on the ground when they ran outside.

They told investigators they saw the suspect running away.

In the video, you can’t see the man’s face clearly but investigators are hoping someone recognizes him by the way he’s walking or his clothing. Police say the man in the video is walking near the area where the shooting occurred.

They haven’t said whether it was captured before or after Carr was killed.
