- Morton Plant patient charged with making bomb threat
- 2nd time in 5 years Warrent Scudder has been charged for this
- Scudder first went to the hospital on Thursday for chest pains
Warren Scudder, 53, is charged with false report of a bomb.
According to the Clearwater Police Department, Scudder was medically cleared from the hospital Thursday around 10:30 p.m. and then called in a bomb threat to the hospital via a cell phone.
He told officers he had been drinking all day and went to the emergency room for chest pains. He was upset that doctors checked him out and released him because he thought something was wrong with him.
Police said Scudder was arrested on the same charge at the same hospital nearly five years ago.
In February of 2014, Scudder became angry when he had to wait for treatment. He then used an in-house telephone to be connected to the switchboard and told the operator there was a bomb in the hospital.
He spent time in prison for the 2014 case. He is currently in the Pinellas County Jail.
