ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg Police arrested a 19-year-old man Friday and charged him with vehicular homicide along with four other charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in January.

The January 18 crash killed Saniya Daxon, 27. The crash occurred near 9th Avenue S. and 40th Street S. Daxon was the passenger in the vehicle when it was struck by a stolen car - she was killed and the driver of the car was seriously injured.
Police additionally charged Keshawn Long with leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, leaving the scene of a crash involving death, operating without a driver's license causing death and auto theft. Long was already in jail on auto theft charges unrelated to the fatal crash.
