“I think this is way better than anything that would have happened in Vegas,” said Whalen.
Their vacation to Vegas became a staycation at their home in Trinity after coronavirus canceled their plans.
But Dillon decided one of their vacation plans was still happening.
“I just decided that it was time to do it so as she was coming around the landing of the stairs, I was down on my knee with our dog and I asked her to marry me,” said Dillon.
With exciting news, but unable to celebrate with friends and family, they had a new idea…if you can’t beat em, join em.
“We wanted to announce it and we wanted to do something fun and different, and we kind of brainstormed and came up with the idea to do a quarantine engagement photoshoot,” said Whalen.
A photoshoot, posted to Facebook, complete with toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and of course, Coronas, has gained not only the attention of friends and family, but people all over Tampa Bay.
“Everything has been so positive and people love it and that makes us feel so good that we are able to bring a little bit of joy in such a down time,” said Whalen.
Proving that while staying home for weeks may be tough - love and laughter is even tougher.
