ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Expect showers to be with us early Friday and linger into the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies. It will be breezy, too. 

The rain chance on Friday is about 30 percent. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s.

A cold front is on the way for Friday and it will trigger some showers as it arrives.  It will bring chilly conditions Saturday morning for parts of the area but the “cool down” is very short lived.

Temperatures will cool down quite a bit Friday night. Expect temperatures to dip down to 60 degrees for Tampa and low 50s across parts of Citrus and Hernando counties. It will be refreshing but the cool down fades as fast as it arrived.

Saturday will be mostly dry but a few showers can’t be ruled out. It will be the pick of the weekend with temperatures near 80 during the afternoon.

We warm things up a bit on Sunday as winds turn out of the south. It will increase the humidity around the area too. Highs will be in the mid 80s with breezy conditions through the day. Another front approaches the area and it will trigger showers out ahead of it Sunday afternoon.

Rain chances increase more on Monday with scattered showers through the day. Temperatures will climb into the mid 80s.

Active weather with daily showers will continue through the upcoming week with temperatures in the low to mid 80s each afternoon.
