Nothing beats the Florida heat in the summer months quite like being in the water.
The Bay area's waterparks are open for business to help with this and they're following CDC guidelines to keep guests safe.
“Our rides are all open and ready to go,” says Brandon Tom, Vice President of Adventure Island.
Like the major theme parks, new safety measures have been put in place. Here's what you can expect at Adventure Island:
- Mandatory temperature checks
- Guests must wear a mask to enter the park, but are not required to wear them after entering. Masks offered for sale on-site.
- Sanitizing stations throughout the park
- Operating at limited capacity
Similar measures have been put in place at Legoland Water Park in Winter Haven.
“You can rest assured, our crew is cleaning everything to make sure everything is nice and safe for you and your family,” says Kelly Hornick, Legoland Water Park spokesperson.
The measures in place at Legoland Water Park include:
- Mandatory temperature checks
- Masks are not required, masks offered on-site for free
- Sanitizing stations throughout the park, inner tubes are sanitized after every use
- Operating at limited capacity
