“Our students have done a remarkable job and we've been praised by the Department of Health as far as wearing masks, and keeping as great of social distance as possible. We’ve had very little spread in our schools,” said Superintendent Michael Grego.

Virtual learning will remain an option for Pinellas County students through the end of the year, as of right now, but if parents want their child to return to brick and mortar school, then they have to submit that election on Tuesday.

District officials said schools will be able to accommodate any student who wants to return.

“There's no wait list, we can certainly, we've had about 30,000 students remotely, and right now with the window, the first window, it's closing tomorrow at midnight (Tuesday), and we have just under about 9500 say who have the desire to come back, we can handle them there will be no wait list at this point,” said Superintendent Grego.
