TAMPA, Fla. — At the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Christmas is everywhere, with festive paw prints and decorations all around.
“When you walk in, it just makes you smile,” said Sherry Silk, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
“I’m what they call Christmas crazy,” said Brian Frey.
This year, Frey is going crazy volunteering to make sure the holidays are merry and bright.
“I’ve done Christmas decor, professional decor for many years,” Frey said. ”I’ve designed it and I really wanted to do something special.”
His festive work is not just brightening up the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Two weeks before Thanksgiving, Frey began adding his holiday touch all over the Bay Area and he has a few decorating elves who have been helping out too.
“This year, I think with COVID, we need joy and we need things that bring us joy,” he said.
It’s why Frey and his friends decided to volunteer. They wanted to lift spirits and spread joy to others in a year when many people can really use some cheer.
